Recommend Dilution	Peptide ELISA: 1/32000 (Detection Limit). Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 50 kDa and 25 kDa in Human Kidney lysate after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the predicted sizes of 41.0kDa according to NP_036320 (isoform a) and 30.8kDa according to NP_65892 (isofrom b). The bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 2-4 µg/ml. In paraffin embedded Human Testis shows primarily nuclear staining in the primary spermatocytes.  This product has been successfully used in Mouse Epididymus by anonymous customer.

Background	FOXI1 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. This gene may play an important role in the development of the cochlea and vestibulum, as well as embryogenesis. Mutations in this gene may be associated with the common cavity phenotype. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
