Applications ELISA, WB
Recommend Dilution Direct ELISA: To detect Rat IL-7 by direct ELISA (using 100 ml/well) a concentration of approximately 1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required.  This biotinylated polyclonal antibody allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat IL-7.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Rat IL-7 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 ml/well) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-Rat IL-7 (Cat.-No AP32852PU) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat IL-7.
Western Blot: To detect Rat IL-7 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 mg/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible development reagents the detection limit for recombinant Rat IL-7 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Background IL-7 is a hematopoietic growth factor which affects primarily early B and T cells. Produced by thymic stromal cells, spleen cells and keratinocytes, IL-7 can also co-stimulate the proliferation of mature T cells in combination with other factors such as ConA and IL-2. Human and murine IL-7 is cross-species reactive.
