Recommend Dilution	ELISA.  Dot blot. Immunoblotting. Indirect Immunofluorescence.  Can be used to sensitize cells in haemolytic complement assays and for screening of T and T receptor-bearing lymphocytes. Antibody titre: Hemolytic titre at which 50% lysis occurs following mixing of equal volumes of antiserum, guinea pig complement (at a dilution of 1/60) and 108 RBC/ml not less than 1/3,000 when tested with Sheep Erythrocytes.

Immunogen	Washed whole erythrocytes were prepared from fresh blood and used for intravenous immunization. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity	Sheep Erythrocytes. Cross-reactivity: Homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity has not been tested.

Purification	Hyperimmune antisera with strong activity are selected for fractionation by saltprecipitation and purification of the IgG fraction by DEAE-chromatography.

Storage Condition	Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
