Applications ELISA, IHC, WB
Recommend Dilution ELISA: To detect Murine VEGF-A by Direct ELISA a concentration of at least 0.5 µg/ml is required. This purified IgG, in combination with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.5-1.0 ng/well of recombinant Murine VEGF165 or other VEGF-A splice forms.
Western Blot: To detect Murine VEGF-A by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant murine VEGF-A is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections 2-10 µg/ml (Pretreatment with 0.01% Proteinase K, 15 min at RT).
Reactivity Human, Mouse
Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Immunogen Highly pure (> 95%) recombinant Murine VEGF164 Dimer derived from insect cells (Cat.-No DA3518X).
Specificity The antibody recognizes VEGF-A under reducing and non-reducing conditions.
Formulation PBS, pH 7.2 without preservatives and stabilizers
State: Aff - Purified
State: Lyophilized purified IgG fraction
Reconstitution Method Restore in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.
Purification Antigen Affinity Chromatography using recombinant Murine VEGF164 as matrix
Conjugation Unconjugated
Storage Condition Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term.
After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month
or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Gene Name vascular endothelial growth factor A
Background VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a homodimeric, disulfide-linked glycoprotein involved in angiogenesis which promotes tumor progression and metastasis. It exhibits potent mitogenic and permeability inducing properties specific for the vascular endothelium. Of the four isoforms of VEGF, the smaller two, VEGF165 and VEGF121, are secreted proteins and act as diffusible agents, whereas the larger two (VEGF189 and VEGF206) remain cell associated.
Synonyms VEGFA, VEGF, VPF, Vascular endothelial growth factor A, Vascular permeability factor
