Background	erbB4/Her4 is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase subfamily that includes EGFR, erbB2/her2, and erbB3/Her3. erbB4 is a receptor for Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) and regulates cell proliferation and differentiation. Tyr 1242 is a potential SHC binding site which leads to MAPK signalling pathway.

Note	Protocol: Included Positive Control: Cell lysate from EGF-treated MDA-MB 468 cells Formulation Lyophilized cell lysate from MDA-MB-468 cells. Serum starved cells were treated for 15 min with EGF. Reconstitution Reconstitute by adding 200 µl H2O. After complete solubilization add 200 µl 2x SDS-Page sample buffer, mix and incubate at 90°C for 5 min. Aliquote and store frozen. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Application The positive control cell lysate is recommended for immunoblot applications. 20 µl of positive control cell lysate correspond to ca. 20.000 cells. Use 20 µl/lane (mini gel) for HRPO/ECL detection of the target proteins. Please note: The lyophilized cell lysates contain SDS and are not recommended for aplications with native proteins such as immunoprecipitation.
