Specificity	Recognises the Leishmania major surface protease (gp63), a 63kDa highly conserved protein which is found at high density on many Leishmania species. This antibody recognises living and fixed parasites, but will not bind to denatured or improperly folded recombinant gp63.

Reconstitution Method	Restore with 0.5 ml distilled water.

Storage Condition	Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month  or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Background	The major surface metalloproteinase Gp63 plays an important role in the initial stages of Leishmania/macrophage interactions and the intracellular survival of the parasite. Leishmania is a protozoan of the genus of trypanosome, and the parasite responsible for the disease leishmaniasis.
