Recommend Dilution	ELISA: In a Sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 µl/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 µg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 1000 pg/ml of recombinant Human MIP3-alpha when used with Biotin anti-Human MIP3 alpha antibody (cat. PP1052B) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 1.0-2.0 µg/ml. Western Blot. To detect Human MIP3-alpha by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human MIP3-alpha is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.

Background	Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha is a chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. It inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. It may be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. It binds to CCR6.
