Storage Condition	Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Background	Butyrylcholinesterase is synthetizised in the liver, and is predominantly found in serum, liver and pancreas. This enzyme is a tetrameric glycoprotein (molecular mass of 350 kDa), and consists of four subunits. Defects in Butyrylcholinesterase are the cause of a metabolic disorder characterized by prolonged apnoea after the use of certain anesthetic drugs, including the muscle relaxants succinylcholine or mivacurium and other ester local anesthetics.
