Product Data | |
Clone Name | MEM-25 |
Applications | FC, FN, IHC, IP |
Recommend Dilution | Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections (0.2 ug/ml, 1/2000). Flow Cytometry. Immunoprecipitation. Suggested positive control: Human tonsil. |
Reactivity | Human |
Host | Mouse |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | Mixed leukocyte preparation. |
Specificity | MEM-25 recognizes the CD11a subunit of the αLβ2 integrin heterodimer, also called lymphocyte-function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1). CD11a is a general marker of leucocytes in immune and other tissues. Does not react with non-hemopoietic tissue and platelets. The antibody blocks binding of CFA-1 to ICAM-1. |
Formulation | PBS buffer pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative and 10 mg/ml BSA as stabilizer. State: Purified State: Lyophilized purified IgG fraction. |
Reconstitution Method | Restore with 0.6 ml distilled water. |
Purification | Affinity chromatography. |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage Condition | Store the antibody at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Do not freeze working dilutions Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Gene Name | integrin subunit alpha L |

Background | CD11a is a member of the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules. It is a glycoprotein expressed in combination with the CD18 beta chain. The complex is a member of the beta 2 integrin family. These molecules function in cell adhesion and specifically bind to CD54, ICAM2, ICAM3. CD11a is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages. |
Synonyms | Integrin alpha-L, LFA1, LFA-1 |
Note | Protocol: Protocol with frozen, ice-cold acetone-fixed sections: The whole procedure is performed at room temperature 1. Wash in PBS 2. Block endogenous peroxidase 3. Wash in PBS 4. Block with 10% normal goat serum in PBS for 30min. in a humid chamber 5. Incubate with primary antibody (dilution see datasheet) for 1h in a humid chamber 6. Wash in PBS 7. Incubate with secondary antibody (peroxidase-conjugated goat anti mouse IgG+IgM (H+L) minimal-cross reaction to human) for 1h in a humid chamber 8. Wash in PBS 9. Incubate with AEC substrate (3-amino-9-ethylcarbazol) for 12min. 10. Wash in PBS 11. Counterstain with Mayer's hemalum. |
