Recommend Dilution	Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of Human NAP-2 (100.0 ng/ml), a concentration of 5.0-10.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. Sandwich ELISA: To detect NAP-2 by Sandwich ELISA ELISA (using 100 µl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with Biotin conjugated anti-NAP2 antibody (Cat.-No PP1056B1 or PP1056B2) as a Detection antibody allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human NAP-2. Western Blot: To detect Human NAP-2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human NAP-2 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Background	NAP2 is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This growth factor is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils. It has been shown to stimulate various cellular processes including DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and sythesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by synovial cells.
