Background	Metalloprotease that specifically deubiquitinates monoubiquitinated histone H2A; a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression; thereby acting as a coactivator. Preferentially deubiquitinates monoubiquitinated H2A in hyperacetylated nucleosomes.
