Summary	This gene encodes a member of the CDP-alcohol phosphatidyltransferase class-I family of proteins. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the synthesis of cardiolipin, a phospholipid component of mitochondrial membranes that is critical for mitochondrial function. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
