Product Data
Applications ELISA, WB
Recommend Dilution Suitable for immunoblotting (western or dot blot), ELISA, immunoprecipitation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity.
Recommended dilution:
This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Glycerol Kinase [Celullomonas species] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) and (ABTS(2,2-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid])as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:2,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.
Reactivity Cellulomonas
Host Goat
Clonality Polyclonal
Immunogen Glycerol Kinase [Cellulomonas species]
Specificity Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified Glycerol Kinase [Cellulomonas species].
Cross reactivity against Glycerol Kinase from other sources is unknown.
Formulation 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2, containing 0.01% (w/v) Sodium Azide
State: Serum
State: Lyophilized serum
Reconstitution Method Restore with 2.0 ml of deionized water or equivalent.
Concentration lot specific
Purification This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination.
Conjugation Unconjugated
Storage Condition Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration.
Restore with 2.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent); centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
Gene Name glycerol kinase
Background Glycerol kinase catalyzes the formation of glycerol 3 phosphate from ATP and glycerol. Dihydroxyacetone and L glyceraldehyde can also act as acceptors; UTP and, in the case of the yeast enzyme, ITP and GTP can act as donors. It provides a way for glycerol derived from fats or glycerides to enter the glycolytic pathway.
NB - Glycerol kinase obtained from Cellulomonas spp has an observed molecular weight of 128kDa.
Synonyms Glycerokinase, GK, GKD
