Clone Name | AT13/5 |
Applications | FC, IHC, IP |
Recommend Dilution | Flow Cytometry: Use 10 µl of 1/100 diluted antibody to label 10e6 cells in 100 µl. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen and Paraffin Embedded Sections. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections (1 mM EDTA pH 8.0 is recommended for this purpose). The epitope recognized by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. We recommend the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. |

Background | CD38 is a type II integral membrane glycoprotein of 45 kDa which is present on early B and T cell libeages and activated B and T cells but is absent from most mature resting peripheral lymphocytes. CD38 is also found on thymocytes, pre-B cells, germinal center B cells, mitogen-activated T cells, monocytes anf Ig-secreting plasma cells. CD38 acts as a NAD glycohydrolase in T lymphocytes. |
Synonyms | cADPr hydrolase 1, T10 |
