FANCC may also be implicated in interstrand DNA cross-link repair and in the maintenance of normal chromosome stability. FANCC belongs to the multi-subunit Fanconi Anemia (FA) complex composed of FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCL/PHF9 and FANCM.
