Product Components The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified and shipped in a 2D barcoded Matrix tube containing 10ug of transfection-ready, dried plasmid DNA (reconstitute with 100 ul of water).
Reconstitution 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min.
2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA.
3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom.
5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C.
Note Plasmids are not sterile.  For experiments where strict sterility is required, filtration with 0.22um filter is required.

Gene Summary Bifunctional zinc metalloenzyme that comprises both epoxide hydrolase (EH) and aminopeptidase activities (By similarity). Acts as an epoxide hydrolase to catalyze the conversion of LTA4 to the proinflammatory mediator leukotriene B4 (LTB4) (PubMed:1544505). Has also aminopeptidase activity, with high affinity for N-terminal arginines of various synthetic tripeptides. In addition to its proinflammatory EH activity, may also counteract inflammation by its aminopeptidase activity, which inactivates by cleavage another neutrophil attractant, the tripeptide Pro-Gly-Pro (PGP), a bioactive fragment of collagen generated by the action of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) and prolylendopeptidase (PREPL). Involved also in the biosynthesis of resolvin E1 and 18S-resolvin E1 from eicosapentaenoic acid, two lipid mediators that show potent anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving actions (By similarity).[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]
