Summary | Signal-regulatory protein beta-1 is a type I membrane glycoprotein, that is is a member of the SIRP(CD172) family and also belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Cynomolgus SIRP beta 1 shares 87% aa sequence identity with human SIRP beta 1. SIRP family members are are typically expressed in cells of monocyte, macrophage or dendritic lineages and are known to associate with the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling processes. This protein was found to interact with TYROBP/DAP12, a protein bearing immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs. This protein was also reported to participate in the recruitment of tyrosine kinase SYK. |
